CRV Underwater Robotics Workshop
Abstract deadline: Extended
to April 22 **
This is a call for participation in a Workshop on
Underwater Robotics to be held on May 24 on the campus of Memorial
University in St. John's, Canada. This workshop is associated with the
Canadian Conference on Computer and Robot Vision (CRV)
(http://www.computerrobotvision.org/) which is held jointly with the
Canadian Conferences on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Graphics
Interface (GI) on the Memorial University campus from May 25-27.
This event will be open to the public and there will be
no requirement to register for the AI/GI/CRV conference. We welcome
submissions from academic researchers and from industry on topics
related to Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), Unmanned Underwater
Vehicles (UUVs), and any other applications of robotic autonomy in the
underwater domain. Suitable topics include (but are not limited to) the
following:
- Autonomous mission planning
- Perception from acoustic and optical images
- Navigation, mapping, and localization
- Multi-vehicle communication and coordination
- Fault tolerance Unique propulsion strategies
- Operations in harsh environments
Those wishing to present should e-mail the organizers
with an abstract describing their topic by April 15, 2011.
Notifications of acceptance will be returned by April 22.
